I must have been lucky in the past because I have never had any trouble with these. But now the o/s one on a 52 reg CF 85 is not working, it seems that something has come adrift so the lever does not release the catch. How do i get it open please? I can’t see how the black slatted panel is fixed, does one tilt the cab and remove fixings from the rear of this panel to get at the mechanism or what?
Bothe the catch and the lever are held on by 3 torx screws each ,if you can’t get it to open at all ,then yes you should be able to open it with the cab tilted…Some times pushing the grill inwards and then operating the latch works …If fitting a new open it comes complete with lever catch and cable a 2 min job to fit
