Hi all I used to have a seddon Atkinson and when I put the handbrake on the brake lights would come on - I got a daf now an when the handbrake is on the brake lights do not stay on they work as they should with the foot brake but not the handbrake - yesd there was a 2007 daf parked next to mine an his we’re on from the handbrake so something’s gone an broken itself - the Sedona stopped working once it was a switch on the back of the actual handbrake handle but there isn’t one on the dads handle does anyone know where snouts this is please cheers lee
yours is working correctly, the other one isn’t

My dads SedAk used to have brake lights that came on with the dead man/handbrake/nice blue stick. I think I was about 6 at the time. That was the last truck I saw it on.
By rights the brake-lights ought to really function during the secondary-brake portion of the parking brake throw, they don’t though BTW on any lorry I can recall driving.
