I notice some operators have opted to have their DAF 85 tractor units fitted with the lightweight middle axle , I wonder how they are performing in practice ( warts and all ) ? .
700k and appear to have little trouble, look like they’re going to weird angles when you turn tight loaded.
Loaded weight transfer valve seems to have little if any effect so wheelspin is a problem in the wet, and i’d personally like to be able to fully lift the thing for manoeuvering, but the driver has almost nil input with them unless empty when you can put them up and down with no trouble…see great control when you don’t need it. 
Tractor still not as light as some others fitted with similar small wheel mid axles, but if fitted with manual box and not lucifers bloody creation then not a bad motor at all, far worse out there.
