I have a problem with my DAF 75CF 290 which has a ZF 8 speed transmission… the truck was parked for about 3 weeks and after starting it, it started losing air from the gear lever knob. We managed to get a used knob and fitted and it was fine no more air leak.
But when trying to take of in the low range gears it feels as if something is locking as though it is binding. When put in high range it is taking off well. But once back in low range it’s actually stopping as though the hand brake has been pulled. Even if it is neutral on a slope and hand brake released, it won’t move if the lever is in low but once pushed up to high it starts rolling. A friend suggest it could be the high/low change over valve.
Any other suggestions■■? Will appreciate
