DAF 2600s

While we’re on the first ‘foreigners’ another forgotten one is the Daf 2600 , lets have some pics, stories etc on these , i’ll start one off :wink:

Got very fond memories of the DAF FT2600.
The firm my grandad drove for in the early 70s Graham Martins Transport bought one off a firm in wales, VVT 714L was the reg, back to front gearbox if i remember. Fine lorries, only to be out done by the 2800… Shame i haven’t got any pics of it…

Vic Wild had a pair of these,bought new,this was mine,the sister to the other one.
Coming off a Mk.2 Atki,onto this was truckers heaven!

And this pic was sent to me by someone on this BB of her after she’d moved on.

They both started life in Stoke,by the VVT reg.,but obviously both finished up in south Wales.

chamber and cook use run 2600 this was still in there yard till a few years afo know is bein restored
