Well before xmas I was doing my cat c driving had my test on the 4th December but it was cancelled due to the strike. So the dvla managed to get me a test date for tomorrow(9th feb).
Spent today driving with a instructor and in a different, newer wagon with a splitter gearbox. I learned in a 8 speed slap over box? (is that what they are called? cant remember)
So I was a little worried when i first got in but managed to get the hang of the splitter box.
Test day tomorrow at 8am. Little nervous but going to do my best to pass.
Just try and chill and take your time. If you start getting nervous at a roundabout/turning just slow down and think.
Better to get a mark for hesitation then a fail for slowing another motorist down…
I forgot to tell the examiner that I removed the number plate and replaced it too. I realized when we got in to drive off. I knew I’d failed, so after that moment of kicking myself, I relaxed and just enjoyed a nice drive around. didn’t give a ■■■■ cos I already knew I’d failed. when he told me he was pleased to say I’d passed I had to get him to repeat. it’s the best feeling, just relax and you’ll do fine
Failed mine today on a silly mistake about half way through and new straight away it was a fail but the rest was absolutely fine, as already said calm , confident and take it easy.
Good luck[SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]
Going along a main road with parked cars on the left side and a van parked close to a side road, I couldn’t see side road because of the van and a stupid women didn’t even stop at the junction and pulled out in front of me causing me to emergency stop. She did put her hand up to say sorry.
The examiner even said it because of that lady.
So Iv another test booked for march 4th.
I must admit i did know i failed because of this but kept my cool and done my best.

I would appeal mate as that’s plain stupid , not your fault and you stopped and not hit her !
Or don’t the examiners use common sense no more

The examiner basically said because i higher up i have a better vision of the road and should have seen her, that is what he said they would say to me.
I always find the appeal process a bit of a waste of time when it comes to driving tests, they won’t change the outcome of the test wether they find in your favour or not, and they won’t!
Hard luck OP. People are idiots, especially car drivers! I’m sure you will do fine in your next test, good luck!
