Czech info please

Hi lads doing my fist trip to Pardubice Czech, shipping tomorrow any info please would be appreciated especially buying ■■■■ and baccy

I haven’t been there for so long that my advice would be out of date, but it’s good to know you have your priorities right.

If you are going across as a driver of a commercial vehicle be warned
that the germans only allow you to bring a lower amount of items than those allowed by holiday makers have a look through

HERE;

You may be lucky and not get stopped, if however you do
and have over the limit they will FINE you ,how much
depends on what you have in your possession also be
careful what you say as the most of them do speak English,

Better off paying cash, they do take Euros but you will get a better deal paying in CZ Koruna.
Last time i was there the ■■■■ were a lot cheaper than Belge but not a lot of difference in the baccy price iirc.

Not necesarly fine. Plenty of Poles who are driving back from Poland to UK are taking ■■■■ and everything as permitted by UK border rules, but forget to check with German rules and they are very suprised to find that Germans allows you less… Usually they just take away what’s over the limit off them, keep them for some time to make sure that they’ll miss the ferry and then let them go.

I heard 100s of stories like that and also know some people who were in this situation… Nobody was never fined.

@orys THEY do fine you mate , on the German television
over here we have a programme called
"Achtung Kontrolle “” this shows various groups doing their jobs
the Zoll(customs) are shown daily doing their job; THEY
do catch and fine offenders , no matter who they are
sorry mate can not belive that the germans are so
nice and friendly about this,

Off course I can’t prove what I said, but I know this is true. Anyway I think it’s not important, as both of us would NOT advise anyone to carry too much

It’s on TV Pete, they are going to go by the book.
Away from TV camera’s I’ve found that German Police etc are the same as everyone elses police. The majority apply the attitude test. Some go buy the book whatever.

True

There is a show in Polish TV showing Polish Transport Police at work… They are always very polite and always try to give as low ticket as possible… :grimacing: And they are NOT spending half of their shift in McDonald’s or hidden in the bushes with handheld speedometer… :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

I wish that was true…
