hey all, enjoyin a couple of weeks holiday in protaris in cyprus, and havin had a few meals in resteraunts on the main road that links larnaca/aya napa/protaris/famagusta/nicosia, it hit me the other day that i havent seen a single truck bigger than a 7.5t, just wondered if anyone knows of anything that comes out here (i have a mate workin for rth lubbers and they do oil/shipping equipment out here occaisionally and also to malta)
There are plenty of heavy trucks working on the Island, from tippers to tankers and skels, if you went on the (only) motorway you’ll have seen a good mix, often ex UK trucks due to being right hand drive.
Most of the container traffic activity is around the port of Limassol

Is the big dish still there at Cape Greco ?
In the early 80s we were posted to the ESBA for 2 1/2 years.
One of the jobs I did while I was there, was to be part of the team on a construction job out at Cape Greco.
It was hard fitting that sort of job in between the sun bathing, the windsurfing, the swimming, the hiring/riding motor bikes, the eating of mezze’s, the drinking, oh, and I did some soldiering type things as well
Couple of trucks seen in North Cyprus here:
