I think this cyclist can can count themselves lucky to be alive.
Heaven knows that the tanker driver thought they were doing…

belter…no doubt his skin tight lycra previously coated internally with babyoil saved him from serious injury…only 1 helmet cam between 3 fannys…something wrong somewhere.looks like he will be a bit late getting home for that organic nut cutlet, and free range lettuce tonight…truckie 1 point, fanny nil points…belter…
That’s one licence holder the world could do without, i hope the old bill wherever it might be find and punish severely.
Cyclist doesn’t probably think so but he’s lucky not to be on a cold slab, no thanks to the skills of tanker jockey.
“■■■■, that was close, ill just tootle over here. Prop my cycle up. No that won’t work it’ll fall over and get scratched. I’ll try this side. Gently does it now, gently does it. There you go… Oh yeah! Forgot about the bloke lying in the road, must run over to lift him out of the way!”

I noticed that he was far more concerned about his bike than his buddy.

So what skills did the tanker driver show?

he skilfully cattered mr skin tight lycra just enough to write him off and give us a good video clip to chuckle at,whilst having the foresight to kep the pedal to the metal and not get caught.(hopefully) unless helmet cam warrior has got a good lens…
It’s always good to get an opinion from the shallow end of the gene pool, and yes it’s been on before, theres a whole thread on it somewhere.
The road, was it a motorway? If so … does cyclist alowed to be there.
If it was me in the bike I’d have looked over my right shoulder before I changed lane !
Both the cyclist and the tanker driver need to look what they’re doing !

Mirror, signal, manoeuvre. No mirror? Life-saver. Even if you have a mirror.
Both of them.
Well, since I’m sat down all day driving, and then once my shift has ended,I drive home in my car. So I’ve decided to try in getting back on my bicycle(not happened yet),for stamina and excercise. I certainly would not like to experience similar. The cyclist was not at fault, even though he should have not been on that stretch of road, absolutely shoddy driving from the tanker.

The cyclist clearly didn’t look over his shoulder, I have an idea truckers lets just indicate and pull across, let’s see what happens.
Oh ffs, this ■■■■ again.
Yes it’s been on.
Who says he shouldn’t be on that stretch of road, it’s not in the UK, and he was allowed on it - check your ‘facts’
DD - that is the worst trolling I’ve ever read, put your head in a freezer.
He didn’t have to look over his shoulder, he wasn’t changing lane, the tanker changed lane, the cyclist was about to take an upcoming exit, he was in the same lane when he was swiped by the ■■■■ in a truck as he was earlier.
Basically, what appears to have happened - and I am making assumptions here - is the truck should’ve been carrying on, he was on the inside lane which filtered off, he panicked and due to be a ■■■■■ driver, he changed lane and took out the innocent cyclist.

I think you will find the cyclist did not change lane if you look properly.

macplaxton from last time:
Nearside of “his” lane.
Still there at the start of the solid white line.
He’s probably dead on the line at this point.
Yep his moved over the line here before the truck beeps and goes hurtling past.
Location: google.ie/maps/@60.038435,2 … z-K2mQ!2e0
I’ll repeat this - the lorry driver is a complete bell-end and twunt and at fault.
The cyclist does change lane. He moves to the right at the start of the “new” inside lane. He signals (sort of), doesn’t look, gets blasted on the horn and knocked over. Not his fault, it’s the driver’s fault, but the point of doing a lifesaver is to save your bacon even if it isn’t your fault. Not being at fault doesn’t stop you being six feet under. Looking/smelling/sensing halfwits trying to knock you over goes some way to help.

It’s a new lane opening up you blind ■■■■■■■■ This IS NOT changing lane, he’s continuing on the inside lane, hence he’s keeping left near the solid white line.
The truck crosses solid white lines and chevrons, blasting his horn (removes any defence that he didn’t see the cyclists) and is 100% at fault.
There is literally NOTHING the cyclist could’ve done, even if he was staring right at the truck, there was a car that came past to the left and stopped, so where could he have gone? What could he have done? Bangs head on wall
Jesus I hope you’re never on jury duty
The tanker driver is 100% in the wrong here, as he’s had an impact, and left the scene.
At very least it’s “driving without due care and attention” should he not have realised what he’s done
or…
A deliberate move to remove a cyclist from the highway - which is of course much more serious, and might even be considered “furious driving” or “attempted murder”.
It wouldn’t even matter if it were a case of cyclists illegally joining a motorway…
On a motorway, I believe, a Cyclist is treated legally as a pedestrian. Since the highway code states that a pedestrian has right of way at all times, there’s clearly no mandate for being able to ever deliberately run a cyclist down - merely because he’s out of court from the start.
