I can’t decide whether the cyclist was lucky or unlucky 
Happened to me donkey’s years ago on the Chiswick flyover, but I was driving a car. The double mattress flew off of an old J4 pickup in the inside lane, landed stood on it’s edge across the outside lane, I hit it, it shot over the top of my car and landed fair and square on the bonnet of the car behind. It didn’t hurt my motor, a big old MK2 Zodiac, but didn’t do much for the little Fiat following, caused a bit of damage. The truck didn’t stop of course. I’m glad I wasn’t on a bike!
