Just heard on t’radio that a cyclist has been fined for cycling along the M25. According to the cyclist he was allegedly using a phone app to find a shortcut.
Earlier reports that ■■■■■■ off motorists only phoned in as he overtook their slow moving vehicles appear to be unfounded.
I have actually seen over the years on 2 different occasions a bloke pedalling a pushbike on the M62 Eastbound between Birchwood and M6 Junction , ( don’t know if it was the same bloke or bike lol ) , but I do remember thinking " am I seeing things ■■ " , some people are so ■■■■■■■ stupid , I also saw 3 kids on pushbikes a couple of years ago riding up hill on the hard shoulder facing against the traffic on the M60 where the new rugby stadium was being built below at the time ■■■■■■■ crazy all of em !!!

OOPs I meant he was Westbound on M62 not Eastbound !!! lol , ah well there is always the next exit to turn around .
Cant believe this story made news headlines, tell us something we don’t know, i see them on a regular basis while travelling the country’s motorway network.
Seen two in the last month alone, one on the M66 and one on the A627M guess it must have been a quiet day on the news front.
Garmin have now launched a campaign to find the cyclist as they want to give him one if their bike nav devices.
Always someone ready to make a marketing ploy!
I got on the M25 off the A10 one Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago heading down towards the M4 & a cyclist was riding down the sip road inside the cones beside my trailer. According to the Telegraph write up with the video clip shown in this thread he was stopped by the Surrey police. Either it wasn’t the same cyclist or he rode a bloody long way down the motorway.
Apparently, the cyclist couldn’t understand why he was doing anything wrong.
This is the problem with trying to get more people cycling - there is no way to tell If they have any road sense. By all means get more people on their bikes, but create a course and cycling test to be completed to at least make sure of some basic road sense!
