Out of time in less than an hour and sat on a bay at IP Sittingbourne for the last 2 1/2 hours waiting to be tipped, not so much as a red light yet. I’m assured all 22 pallets will be off by 2100.

This is what is wrong with this industry, gutless suppliers, employers and companies that take advantage of these people. Onus is on driver who is in a no win situation, whatever he does will be wrong, but hey he/she is paid lots of money to put up with the hassle.

This is the best option ^^. The shunter can take it off and you can pick it up in the morning.

Amazingly they started tipping me at 2039 and I was tipped by 2057, office told me not to wait for POD’s and go find somewhere to park.
Can’t really complain about how my place handled it, after the first phone call on 1hr 30 mins they were ringing every 20 mins to chase them up.

yeah getting tipped was the easy part.

I had a look in the lay bys and they were all full (surprisingly, NOT) I pulled into Medway at 2113, there was plenty of room in there.
Hardly surprising considering the price and facilities available there, they’ve only had one working shower for 4 weeks and that’s in the women’s toilets lol.

Would have told em with 90 mins left im nearly out of time be back in the morning for the trailer.at least you get a choice where to park, ok not done it myself so not sure but wouldn’t fancy a night on a bay would feel like im still working sat on a bay.

Was in Tesco Dartford last year at 1st plenty time but it soon started going spoke to office bod np then a shift change told them was running out of hours told them how long had been there "oh dear " was reply 10 min later was heading out the gate with not a lot of time left
Then in ASDA Wakefield ( normally not to bad in there ) had been there a while went in to see office they did apolagise for the delay ( had been in day before & took less then 30 min ) but not this day told them how long had left was only there 3 hrs so out of time parked in there yard np used there canteen slept well as was out of way easy
Told the boss what was happening not a lot we could do as there had been delays all day but ASDA did find me a place to park in the corner out the way & had use of there facilities
