Custom build truck with beer taps

Hi

I’m looking to build a custom truck for the brewery I work for with a built-in bar and beer dispensing system. We’ll use it to to drive around the UK taking great beer to music festivals, outdoor events etc. It needs to be big enough to hold a ten-tap walk through bar but not so enormous that it can’t get to smaller venues.

Does anyone have any thoughts on who would be good to work with on designing and building the truck?

Thanks v much!

J

A class two or a rigid truck would be suitable. They come with plastic side curtains which can be taken off then customise to your requirements.

My truck at work would be ideal disabled access to with the ramp down, just bang some curtains on it or a box (just ideas for you  )
You could modify the bed to to fold out on legs?

Your not having mine though

They work with Formulae One and design accomodation and hospitality trailers for racing drivers and other projects that can be catered for.

dwt-exhibitions.co.uk/ would probably worth chatting to.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions! Any other ideas for companies we could work with on the design of the truck would be really cool too.

towability.co.uk in wellingborough , they do all sorts of catering trailers/vehicles from them silly little coffee vending vans up to , well I’ve seen a routemaster bus in there, so i would think they’ll be able to knock something up for you.

An old bus/coach would probably be a much easier/cheaper conversion, they already have the low entrance/exit door and a walkway down the middle :bulb:

Would work, has already been done though.

Looks like a pleasant place to spend a sunny afternoon :sunglasses:

It was at Brands Hatch Truck Show in early November and it was doing a roaring trade, didn’t get the chance to visit during opening hours because I had the kids with me, but I did have a good look around it during dawn’s early light and it did look like a fine piece of machinery to me.

I’ve also seen some fantastic bars built from artic trailers though, hydraulic gull-wing sides, disco lighting, large screen music TV’s, attractive bar staff  etc.

You want a 20’ container with hydraulic legs to drop it straight onto the floor.
Try torton trailers or global vtech. Guinness used to have some and I think they were
Calls “parvo’s” or something similar!!

We have a Peterbilt with one of those mahoosive 20’ sleepers where I work. It’s the bossman’s toy, we are looking at turning it into a limo type device with a dance floor and a dance pole for a young lady to drape herself around, .

It will mean getting rid of the fancy paint job and gutting the interior, but it would be a one of a kind deal, just a shame we ain’t in Vegas, we would earn a bloody fortune with it, especially if we linked up with a ■■■■■■■■■■, unfortunately Winnipeg doesn’t have the same allure

Blimey it would bring new meaning to competition in terms of more payload and rate cutting when someone gets the idea of using that with a 53 ft trailer as well with another two or three dancing poles and some imported Mexican birds instead of local ones. :smiling_imp:
