Had my 1st night out in a lay by the other night on the a12 and woke up in the morning to find 3 slits in the curtain!
A bit scary I can’t belive people go around doing these things!
Tossers!
Where abouts on the a12? Did you report it to the ol bill?
Just south of Chelmsford and I haven’t yet do you think I should? I reported it to the boss.
That was bad luck on your 1st night.
Had mine done at Heston services the other night
Happens all the time A228/A229 lay-byes,always see the “Ole Bill” out there in the mornings Skat motors (Polish) are regular victims!
Seems unlucky it happened on your first night, did you leave a door open? To be honest if you park in a layby on the A12 you’ve got to expect it…
Who cares if you’re not paying for the repair, ■■■■ ol’ bill, lazy tossers won’t do anything anyway…

Bad day?
Had mine done a while back on the A452 between J14 and J13 just off the M40.
I’d left the back door open because I was carrying 8’ concrete slabs and I still had my curtains slashed!
Goes to show, you just can’t predict or prevent stupidity.
I had mine done once in the first layby on the a500 off junction 15. It was about 10pm on a Sunday night when I parked up. Middle of winter and ■■■■■■■ with rain. I thought nobody will be out tonight. I was wrong!
Had mine done twice. Both times empty with back door open
1st was Markham Moor on the Truckstop. 2nd was Blyth services. Dozens of nights around Glasgow etc and never any bother. Marvellous isn’t it?

Not really, normal ol’ grumpy me
Get a Frigde trailer hai we don’t have this problem
, I feel for people who this happens to just show there to lazy to undo the strap and look
On one of the few occasions I was fortunate enough to catch a couple of load thieves with their 7.5 tonner “red handed” at the Red Lion truckstop at M1 J16, none of the drivers whose vehicles had been attacked showed the slightest interest in supporting a prosecution. As a result the scrotes could only be charged with “Going Equipped for Theft” (which was dropped by the CPS anyway). So three weeks or so after the event, they got their lorry back and doubtless went back to nicking loads and diesel - They look upon arrest etc as being a minor inconvenience that simply puts them out of action temporarily (and gives them a bed for the night and a free breakfast).
You leave the doors open or even undo half a dozen buckles as well and they will still ■■■■■ the curtain, its just plain vandalism. If there were proper prosecutions maybe people would think twice. Plod don’t want to know even if you could provide evidence.
Only had a curtain done once and half of the (very expensive) load went
, but every time I’ve done a night out in one since I’ve opened the curtains and clipped them back. Other drivers look at me like I’m off my ■■■■■■■ rocker, but I’ll tell thee, it works and they don’t get slashed because everything is clearly visible to them. Just opening the back doors is a complete waste of time. You may as well just leave it shut for all the good it does.

really■■? doesn’t the load get wet when it rains?
I can’t stand this, particularly on a previously un blemished curtain, makes me want to cry.
Had mine done at Todington south a couple of weeks ago, only a foot but jeez, nothing worth knicking anyway or not that they could carry! Admittedly I didn’t open a door but I always will now.
Half the time it’s other drivers if I was a gambling man. Lot of flip flops in Todd, cheeky bonus for the empty leg out… This is of course speculation but they’d see you kangaroo ing in to a slot with weight on and mark you card for a 2am visit.
