So here is part three at my series of videos aimed at new drivers and this one is curtainsiders. Hope some of you find it even slightly helpful.
Handy video that luke. And you are right there are many a people who would kill to drive any artic. A shame they don’t keep jobs spare for those who have the passion for the job and kick those who couldn’t give a monkeys.
Look forward to the next installment.
Cheers
Jonny
well never having used a curtainsider before your vid is a great help to us newbies
hopefully you’ll get time to show us how to secure loads (its a blatant hint there m8)
Thanks for that, just the info I needed
Thanks for that Luke, that will come in very handy indeed.
Curtainsiders are widely known to be very easy, but that’s only when you know or have been shown how. Thanks again chum!
All credit to you for doing these.
For anyone starting out don’t underestimate the potential of bent handles on curtainsiders to sever your air or electric susies, as mentioned. In the past I have made patches of curtain material with very strong magnets in to attach over any dodgy handles, if you’ve got the same unit long-term there are these socks for the susies from the FTA

Generally the sort of manoeuvre you’re likely to get them snagged is the sort you need to be concentrating fully on what’s going on around not distracted looking to see if a susie has snagged.
Also totally agree with straps don’t know how anyone can stand the distraction in the mirrors of them flapping about if they’re not tucked in.
