Parked at Asten Tuesday night and woke up next morning to find the curtain slashers had visited.
Fellow driver’s? Probably, seeing as this is supposedly a secure parking,at least that’s what we were told when I was on Edwards.
Serves me right for parking between the ‘Bubbles’.
Was you parked in the part which has all the cameras and fence round you Keith??
sorry to hear this mate as the police would say some one out and taking a chance
of hitting the jackpot on easy disposable goods,

I was parked right outside the truck-shop,between the Greek frigo’s.
I was quite suprised,as far as I can remember that’s the first time I’ve had it done in Holland.
I had concrete beams on,so they would have struggled to get one of those off
I am gobsmacked to hear that, Keith!! Asten is one of my favourites as long as I don’t have to sit near other Brits!
I was in there Wednesday night and it was nice when the lady greeted me with a ‘Hello, I haven’t seen you for ages, where have you been?’
Even parking along that front row with the Bubbles, it should have been nice and safe. Methinks I smell other drivers at work here which is a crying shame.
I must admit I have never heard of anyone getting their curtains slashed in Asten, I wouldn’t think it was because you were parked with thee bubbles though, I used to always park with them or the Turks when I couldn’t get to a regular truck park in Italy as they always seemed to be out of their cabs and friendly, I never had a problem with either group.
The worst place for curtains getting slashed is on English truck stops in my experience, maybe some Brit was the cause of your curtains getting damaged
I also regarded Asten as one of the places I could park up safely.Well, apart from the mozzies I tended to park by where the coach weekend pick up bays were (are?) if I was early enough.Often found myself in the midst of Brits in the morning, but no problems whatsoever.Schengen agreement and EU expansion biting us in the ■■■ perhaps? Again!!
