When did xpo take over there? It’s been dhl for as long as I can remember , but just got sent a job , xpo Newark on Trent working in partnership with out client curry’s
Hi 6 to 8 months i think as far as i know its a basic name change and rearrange the deck chairs ie One or two people out and a few in but the core of the office/warehouse drones stays the same
recived wisdom is that dhl were only hanging on by the finger tips the last few years also xpo are running the warehouse as well as transport which was always a problem when the two were split ie little communication little cooperation
Is Dhl really that bad? They seem to be losing some big contracts lately, Primark, Tesco goole and Doncaster now currys. I have done some work for them (agency) and apart from over the top h&s didn’t think they were too bad.

I currently work for them on one of their contracts and it’s the best job I’ve had, so I can only speak of my experience of them from that point of view. They have so many different contracts so guessing some are good, some not so much. As you say though, they are OTT on the H&S but that’s no biggie where I am.
I guess some will always tarnish all these big logistics companies with the same brush.
What’s the ‘‘Know it all’’ bit exactly?

I believe…
This comes from their TV advert. The staff are all clued up on the latest technology and are able to help you with any questions you may have about their products or services.
The reality is a clueless half-wit, who appears unable to polish his own shoes will pick up the box of the item you’re interested in purchasing and read out the instructions from it.

Ahh right…can’t say I’ve seen it tbh.
I was thinking maybe Curries Conor and Carryfast had started a new business venture.
It was/is “Team Knowhow” - what they called their Support business after they merged the Currys/PC World businesses.
I’m not sure that the branding still used (although it doubtless is still in evidence).
It has SQRT(FA) to do with the PFYs on the sales floor.

I think you are getting them confused with that other company of a similar name … “Think we know it all”
