Applied for tramping jobs at either Stirling or Coatbridge and arrived home to see a letter had arrived.
Thank you for your interest and we are in the process of short listing due to high volume of applicants blah blah.
If you don’t hear from us by Friday 6/2/09 you have not been selected for interview.
Its good of them to reply as most dont but could they not just have waited till Friday and sent yes or no letters out as this seems a bit pointless and now I dont know if this is a knockback or not.
Anyone else apply and get one of these or an interview.
Will be hoping they phone right into next week now in case they take longer to short list.
I know of 2 others who use this forum whom also got them letters… Just think them letters they sent out could have saved x amount of trees or even topped up there poor wage they were offering (Jobs a job though)
I was on the phone earlier to my uncle who lives in East Kilbride whos been looking for a job and guess what
yup he’s had one of them letters aswell
as hes been looking for work since last october after he was laid off by the place he was working at decided to outsource their transport lets hope someone gets some good news
Just think it would have been more sensible to wait till friday then send them out but as I say at least they were good enough to give everyone a reply.
I went for an assessment today for the Curries jobs based at Warrington, Euro work shipping out of Hull.
I live in Carlisle, I went to Dumfries to fill in a form and was told “Go to Warrington on Monday for an assessment” find out tomorrow if I was successful.
Keep it between the hedges boys.
Airfreight.

Curries assess their driver’s.1st for everything i suppose. They were in our yard till last week when they moved to shetland transport yard at coatbridge.
As said at least they acknowledged your exsistence, better that than leaving you in the dark and wondering. as for the trees etc they use recycled paper maybe . so stop complaining and await the other letter with bated breath. and the very best of luck to all of you thats applied ,i sincerely hope you get the job and it fullfills your asprirations
I didnt get the impression anyone was complaining, just asking if anyone got a job!!!
I went for an interview and a test drive on the 2nd of Jan and was told that they would ring me on my way home, they didnt but rang me the next day to tell me I hadnt been succesful,no reason though.
Now I want a job as much as anyone else and have a family to support etc,but the job was salaried and bearing in mind it was European haulage the rate was £400 a week before tax and n.i.
Keep her between the hedges boys and stay lucky.

I had a job interview about three weeks ago and as I leaving the bloke who took the interview said we will inform everybody whether we want them back for another interview or not. Still not heard a thing, so I suppose it’s no then .
