If they’re going to rely on an intercom system, rather than put a human being in the portacabin at the entrance, then it’s making it easier for the scumbags to get in and nick a trailer or two.
I actually saw the plain white Daf XF in question, parked up in the big layby just after Amisfield on the 701, and thought nothing of it…why would you? It’s just a truck parked in a layby.
Anyway as a result, the drivers now have to park their cars outside the compound and walk in, rather than drive in.
