 just in case some ones posted this before, the brewers from penrith whilst they are related, they run independantly in transport, call in to mardale road and see ed brewer, he is a dedicated stobbart man and doesnt carry for any one else, while the glendinning and brewer tie-up are run from bulmans yard, the only way the two can be mistakenly connected is the red brewers once ran from ed brewers yard, and the drivers complained about the state of the yard and muddy cab floors,
 truckers moan :frowning: wagon drivers get on with it :unamused:

Alan Glendinning parked a few trucks at TDGs yard at Carnforth eariler this year.but now they don’t.
Ive never seen an Alan Glendinning at Truckhaven.

Hi all,
The red Scanias bearing the name " Brewer " , were owned by ( Bob ? ) Brewer from sleepy Sedbergh.
I think he owned upwards to 6 Scanias, and he operated from T.G.D.`s yard at Carnforth.
I understand he did some of his haulage alongside Alan Glendinning, and I have been told that A.G. has now taken-over the
red Scanias and the business.

I stand corrected if anything I have posted is incorrect.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

This Ford 4D carries the livery and name of M.E. Saunders & Sons of Sparkbridge , Ulverston.
The family business is still operating , and the fleet comprises mainly of artic tippers.

Photographed at the ■■■■■■■ Steam Gathering , about 6 years ago.
