Hi Crowbar, Yes I can remember Pearson Bros from Great Orton they were regular livestock hauliers into Wigton Auction Mart. They had a Foden OG (I think) four wheeler with the ornate Foden radiator beading. Their livery was mainly a tan/brown colour with black chassis and mudguards. They also ran a Commer TS3 and a Leyland Comet.

The one I’ve been seeing was a white 4x2 with full side wraps on it and really looks the part imo, not seen that Yellow one before but its definetly the same firm.

John Weir ran a business called JWT Plant hire, which ran a fleet of 5 low loader lorries. The crack I was told was that the two businesses, John Weir Transport and JWT where merged to for JWT Transport Services, which is based at Cockermouth with depots at Gist at Carlisle and Thompsons Plant Hire at Flimby, Maryport.
One part of JWT runs the low loaders (the lorries are blue and yellow) and the other concentrates on M&S/Gist subbing

Thankyou for correcting me on the operating centres of JWT marra but I’m sure hes got two low loaders because I’ve seen a PX10 blue and yellow JWT, unless he’s changed the PX09 one.
Which is Bimsons yard on Durranhill because I can’t place that one?

Yes Bewick, I do move about a bit but I do like to be in the Wigton area (if I can see the factory, I’m fine).
Funny you should say about the morons in Fletchertown, but I was there a couple of weeks ago visiting a friend who had had his greenhouse glass smashed. “Typical Fletchertown” was the words he said to me as we discussed the damaged greenhouse!
