little ha ba:
Derwent Transport was formed through LAWSON,S HAULAGE ,TYSON H BURRIDGE,AND BRITISH STEEL,The formation came about through the rail plant at workington needing trailers to transport 60 foot rail. The trailers were designed to carry 18 60lb 60 foot rail. The trailer,s were looked after by lawsons and burridge, lawson,s had DT1 to DT5 and burridge had DT6 toDT10.
At one time the trailers were blue, who owned them?
Now they are in Lawsons colours but are still numbered DT not too sure if Tyson Burridge has any involvement these days.
One thing for sure Jimmy will of come out it right!!
