Hi Youngnud, I photographed this Coles crane in Malta about 1983 bearing the registration HRM 30N or 38N which I immediately thought had come from BEC or Seymours, can you confirm this is where it came from ?
Cheers, Leyland 600.

hmm, could be a bec plant one, dont remember it from seymours, but i only worked on whitehaven ones, unless they came to sellafield for a job,

Is this the same Davidsons that ran the garage and truck park on the left hand side just before the station in Penrith?

pete smith:
Is that Barghs the same firm that has got the green Scania’s now?

When I bought the K. Fell business in 1976 that Leyland Comet and it’s sister motor with the two drivers were taken over by the MMB in Kendal and did not form part of the deal I did. The Milk job was not to our liking so I was glad they weren’t part of the deal and IIRC at that time Libbys stopped taking in raw milk direct from the surrounding farms and it all went into the MMB Creamery at Kendal. Cheers Bewick.

Late 70’s depot shot of a Howarth Bros York box van in the rank, we used to help the Howarth Lads out regularly when they were busy as they trusted us to both do the job as well as them and we wold never ever contemplate “sniffing” around their customers ! Bewick.

Pic off E-bay

Just came across this Scania on YouTube

I could well be mistaken, but I think that belonged to Reginald Epplett (not sure if I spelt that correctly). The 3 series topliner was a 113 360 driven by his son who I never met, Reg himself drove an early 143 400 standard R cab. They pulled for Curries of Dumfries. I bumped into Reg a few times while I was driving - I found him to be a real gentleman and good company.
