For a brief period of time this thread settled down into s pleasant place. We now have someone who seems to like bumping his gums. Do us a favour and [zb] off.

What is it with the ■■■■■■■■■ its a good page this one but like happysack says they have now got 3 who talk bollox and like to stir it,this new fella spouting about flags in the windows just wants a argument ,every lorry on the road on the 90s or before HAD to have flags in the windscreen ,it was the law

Hey seth 70 I see the daft lads have moved on from the silly flags in their windscreens, they now think we all want to know their names ,they have got them in the windscreen for us all to see, thats ok if you and I are interested what their name is,cant work out why they think we do…answers please.

Well it certainly seems to bother you mate so just for you I’ll ‘‘come out’’ …no not like that
I ain’t a 'young lad’at 57, but I have my name in the front windscreen, partly because I work for a large nationwide fleet, and it makes it easier for each other to recognise their mates on the road, or if parked up to go down to the pub to meet somebody you know, but mostly because I want to and it has [zb] all to do with anybody else :bulb:
And to really ■■■■ you I have my curtains pulled across the side window, not because I’m going for the ‘mysterious trucker’ image, but partly I have bright light issues with my eyes, and because it helps against some snouty [zb] copper pulling alongside me in a tractor unit (as they do) pointing a [zb] camera in my boat :smiling_imp:
Hope that clears things up for you so you can go on to summet else to have a go at. Cheers.

Well robroy, not a good idea to tell the world you cant see so good, how do you manage to drive. On the topic of names ,toys and flags a pal of mine told me people with names also have their names on a tab in their vests, another thing he told me was about the silly little light in the cab at night,he said its to stop them from being afaid of the dark,is that right,or do you have your own ideas…and its ok,you have not peed me off.

Just whatever mate, I really don’t give a flying one. For the record where did I say I can’t see so good??
As long as I keep continuing to pass the eye test to renew my license, it doesn’t concern ME, …and shouldn’t concern YOU. :open_mouth: :unamused:
Before you answer my post just bear in mind I can’t be arsed to continue this, bye now

Did he sell out to Carefoots or was he taken over by them :astonished:

He was a driver at J & W Watts of Carlisle in the 60’s when I knew him Lance. Cheers Dennis.

Rumour has it that Ectona Workington West ■■■■■■■ is about to close losing 150 jobs. Mark Thompson is the main haulier out of there.

Hodgeturbo these are cracking photos, does Thomas Armstrong carry out haulage for third parties? or is it all in house traffic?

Hi Rob Roy, sent a pm

Harry Fearon and then John Irving were the main hauliers out of Ektona Fibres for many years when they were very busy,I recall we pulled a few Containers for H & M E out of Trafford Park in the early 70’s bound for Ektona.Cheers Bewick.
