Well it certainly seems to bother you mate so just for you I’ll ‘‘come out’’ …no not like that
I ain’t a 'young lad’at 57, but I have my name in the front windscreen, partly because I work for a large nationwide fleet, and it makes it easier for each other to recognise their mates on the road, or if parked up to go down to the pub to meet somebody you know, but mostly because I want to and it has ■■■■ all to do with anybody else
And to really ■■■■ you I have my curtains pulled across the side window, not because I’m going for the ‘mysterious trucker’ image, but partly I have bright light issues with my eyes, and because it helps against some snouty ■■■■■■ copper pulling alongside me in a tractor unit (as they do) pointing a ■■■■■■ camera in my boat
Hope that clears things up for you so you can go on to summet else to have a go at. Cheers.
Got some bad news today, a driver mate of mine, Tom Scott from Silloth, who I knew from school, was found dead at Birmingham Fri night in his truck. He worked on the agency on a permanent night trunk for last 10 or so years. Before that he ran Europe for John Goddard Carlisle, and then for a subbie who done traction work for Giraud’s in France.
I did lose touch with Tom for last few years, but that did not lessen the shock.
RIP Tom mate.
