I understand that it’s 24/7, so start times can be varied & you’ll probably be working some weekends (so it’s not for me) done a bit on the agency for them a few years ago & it’s easy work, from what I’m told the money is good £30,000+.
I know one of the shunters-Carl (if he’s still there)& he seems happy with his lot.
The assessment I did involved hooking up/split coupling (so make sure you put the trailer brake on) a drive around MK, reverse onto a bay & drop the trailer (don’t forget the brake) then it’s a load of questions on the Highway Code & Tacho Hours & breaks.

Just had a handsome pay rise of 4.8% so happy days. Can’t offer much more information I’m afraid.
Good kit updated every 3 yrs or less, they’re stickler for the rules so if you’re good at keeping your head down you’ll be ok.
