Got a drop in Croydon tomorrow at the Whitgift centre but it’s in the lorry ban zone. I’ll be coming in on the A23. Should I just wing it? Never had to deal with this before. I’ll be in a 26tonner.

My drop is at 06:30am at the centre itself.
Never been into it myself, used to deliver to a bar there, Tiger Tiger, what a complete arse of a place to get into.
However now that’s just refreshed my memory, when I tried that for the first time I ended up down a bus lane by the Whitgift. Never heard a thing about that.
I’ve got a couple of trips into Croydon this year at the Fairfield hall gig. Never had any problems before getting in and out of there.
Tbh, it’s not the getting in I’d be worried about, it’s getting out alive!

As others have said, it is a horrible place, do us all a big favour and park on a hill and forget to apply the hand brake and flatten it .
Roads there are not truck friendly and designed by a 16 year old whizz kid with a degree in engineering.

Your fine. Crack on its on the excluded road network. But you have to go A23, A232, then up A212 to your drop.

That’s the place! Underground service area, JUST big enough to swing an artic. Pass the centre on your left, first left and then left again into the down slope. Barriered access with a security cabin. At least, that’s how it was the last time I was in there, but it was a few years ago.
