Crowbar used in 50mph clash between two lorries in Essex

Damaged Mercedes lorry Essex Police said a driver of a Volvo lorry attacked another vehicle while travelling at 50mph

A lorry driver attacked another HGV with a crowbar during a 30 minute altercation between two fast-moving vehicles, Essex Police has said.

The lorries were on the M11 on Monday when a Mercedes was forced on to the hard shoulder by a Volvo.

The altercation continued along the M25 and the A127, towards Basildon.

After forcing the Mercedes into the central reservation, police said the driver of the Volvo “leaned out of his window and attacked the other lorry”.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “Considerable damage was caused and this all happened while the vehicles were driving on a busy dual carriageway at 50mph.”

Police are asking for witnesses to the incident, which started at about 11:45 GMT, to come forward.

The white Mercedes lorry was towing a red trailer, while the white and blue Volvo had a blue trailer.

Normal day in Basildon !!

can’t think what the fuss is about !

Driver-Once-More:
the white and blue Volvo had a blue trailer.

I can think of a few operators down here with that colour description…

It lasted 30 minutes down the busiest Motorway in the UK and nobody noticed the operator’s name■■?

He must have nearly been falling out of the window to hit that there! :open_mouth: unless he lobbed the crowbar out the window at it.

“leaned out of his window and attacked the other lorry”.

what a clown :unamused:  he’ll be wrestling trees next

Had to do a run in an axor today so I sympathise with the bloke in the volvo if I had a crowbar i would have smashed our axor up too :smiling_imp:

Apparently the Volvo was signwritten. On the back it said “DVSA - taking out the bad drivers”… Gotta admire their tenacity eh? :open_mouth:

As long as he doesn’t start hugging them.

On a serious note, why the heck didn’t the Merc just back of a bit, why carry on all the way down the M11, across the M25 and up the 127.

True professionals doing their bit to keep lorries in the public’s eye :unamused: :unamused:

Apparantly not, 40 miles down motorways knocking bells out of each other and nobody noticed a reg or a name on the side of a trailer and unit…

Well that’s a new one on me. Add that to your kit list. 1 x Crowbar, essential for those lengthy overtaking battles.

I would of stuck it on the H/S see how hard he is then. Doubt he would have stopped and if he did, wound up nuggets are easier to take down in my experience, ■■■■■■■ bell end.

Hats off to these guys for sticking to the speed limit

Must say that’s a new one on me aswell, suppose that’s what happens when two complete bellends are on the same stretch of Tarmac at the same time.
