For the record I worked at a well known international haulage company that had amongst its strange/eccentric employees had an open cross dresser who later declared themselves a transsexual, the guys was a proficient boxer and gossip had it he was an ex Para - However he did the job the same as the rest of us, was a good laugh on a night out (albeit in a pink Cardie and comfy slacks) and was just one of the team, accepted for who he was - if anyone (tongue in cheek) remembers Robert from Spain they will know who I am on about

Yeh Spanish Bob  , I was in the County at Immingham with two other MTC/Ewals drivers (that you may know Rikki) Geordie John and Spud, Bob walked in with a crop top and a pink straw hat, it was the first time that I saw him, he sat down on our table much to the amazement of the rest of the pub, John asked what we wanted to drink and went to the bar, Spud says “I’m off to the bog” and left me sat there with him, a few lads that I knew came in looked over at me and him and gave me some funny looks, it turned out that John and Spud had set me up and walked round to the other club leaving me sat there. I next saw John a year or so later in Zeebrugge and he was still laughing about it.

If I had seen her in a club I would try and pull that but would kill her if I had seen what it had down stairs lol. It’s hard to judge with how she looks

LOL

This has just reminded me  I was talking to this odd boy the other day about when years and years back he was abroad in Thailand as a haulier. He’d met this ‘woman’, took a bit of a shine to her and they went back to his place for a bit of afternoons entertainment  Anyway, they both started to undress one another and there he was standing stark bollock naked and all she was wearing was her undies. She took her underwear down and to his horror he pointed to her and said ‘I’ve got one of those’ :open_mouth: :grimacing: I dont know what happened after this point…I didn’t like to ask but I’ve a feeling that the moment was lost :grimacing:

Used to know a bloke from Gravesend “Dave M” told a similar story,so what happened then Dave? I asked he replied “Gave it a smack in the mouth & turned it over” job done

Well done Gentlemen,
I always had faith in you, and knew that with a bit of hard work and determination some of you would manage to drag this thread down to your own special level.
Your displays of ignorance and intolerance will certainly help to maintain the publics image of us all as being knuckle dragging bigoted simpletons.
Well done again…

No well done trans gendered? trucker for getting offended over a bit of humour :unamused:

That ‘offence’ is the cause of more bigotry than the actual situation.

Vegans, vegetarians, gays, lesbians, transgender, transexuals, ethnic minorities, and all the rest make a rod for their own back with their attitude towards a bit of light hearted banter.

Lighten up ffs, nothing spiteful or biggoted has been said :bulb:

The biggest cause of offence to me, is people that get offended :unamused:

cant wait to watch this!!

Hello Newmercman,

I haven’t taken any offence in any way over a bit of humour and light hearted banter, do you really think I would have managed to survive my 47 years of dealing with gender dysphoria without developing a very thick skin and the ability to laugh at both myself and the situation I found myself in?
No of course not, I hate political correctness with a passion. I have heard many more stories about crossdressers and transvestites than recounted so far on this thread, some were much funnier and some a lot worse, some true and some were somewhat embellished for comedic effect and the vast majority of those didn’t cause any offence either.
But what is offensive to ANY normal human being is finding themselves in a group of people that is being talked or written about in a de-humanised or objectified fashion. I am referring to reading some of the most recent posts in which the main character in the story wasn’t afforded the simple and basic respect by being referred to as he or she (I realise it can be confusing) but was referred to as “it” or “that”. Experience suggests that when someone is willing to refer to another human being in that fashion then they are often harbouring bigoted thoughts of the person in question as being below them in some way, or even on occasion being thought of as sub-human.
Now I appreciate you’ll think I’m being over sensitive about this but it does kinda get on your ■■■■ when you’ve listened to it your whole life. There is a very old and wise saying which goes something like this; “to understand another mans life you need to walk a mile in his shoes”. But I’ll just ask for your understanding rather than suggesting you try this as believe me walking even 5 yards in stiletto steel toe caps is nigh on impossible…

My other concern about the most recent posts was the “humour” being gained from talk of killing and/or slapping the crossdresser in the story.
I’m extremely sorry if I fail to find the humour in this, but having been physically assaulted myself, and also know of many others who have been assaulted or threatened with physical violence and/or killing I would have to ask what exactly a responsible forum moderator is doing allowing such views to be aired as “a bit of light hearted banter”.

This thread is being watched and talked about elsewhere away from the truck driving fraternity, so please just demonstrate some basic respect.

Other than that it’s all good for me :sunglasses:

Great post tgtrucker and sorry if the image I posted above derailed the thread a bit as it was only meant for comedic affect.

Its great to have a poster who is familiar with this situation as a lot of us maybe just guessing at the trials and tribulations they face and trying to empathise with their experiences.

Any society will always have an element of what it considers to be the ‘norm’ and the funny thing is the more we desire to be unique its our perceptions of societies lack of acceptance that restrict us from true expression.

A pack mentality can form when something or someone is seen as being a little odd leading to jokes and offensive jibes that may not be intended as cruel as they are received.

Anyway not of that should that matter in this medium where there is more freedom to express what we think without fear of our peers.

Good on you for following your own path in life.

On a side note feel free to re-count any funny stories as I still firmly believe this topic is better served with some comedic element.

Two great posts, I especially like the irony that somebody who the PC brigade are ‘protecting’ has as much dislike of them as supposedly ‘normal’ folk do. I’m sure you’ll agree that by highlighting differences, they actually make matters worse.

Having said that, there will always be an element of suspicion, distrust or dislike of things that are outside the ‘normal’ boundaries and we all have to accept that. Just as some have gender, ■■■■■■■■■ or whatever ‘issues’ some people have issues in the way they think, maybe being judgmental and offensive is in a person’s genes as well.

Apologies for the drunken ramblings below, its my day off.

Anyway lets say your walking down the street ‘alone’ and you see a well dressed female coming towards you, as they get closer you start to think hang on somethings out of place here, and they get even closer and realisation sets in that its a man in lets say ladies clothing. So you either cross the street (bit feeble but sure it happens) carry on walking and smile or say hello, or more likely say nothing and carry on all-confused that your initial perceptions where so incorrect.

Now switch this too walking with a group of mates who all think the same thing about the same time and hey presto this pack of ‘sheeple’ secure in its knowledge that it has back up will start to take the ■■■■ and make silly comments.

Confusion leads to fear which in turn leads to the desire to need some form of group nursing blanket effect by everyone having a giggle and taking the pee.

So faced with this I have the utmost respect for anyone who chooses to live their lives how they feel comfortable regardless of society’s perception and lack of mental evolution.

Course I also believe mankind is being held back by certain badly translated books written many thousands of years ago that have been rewritten to suit many agendas leading to a fanatical belief and lifestyle based on some ridiculous concept perpetuated by an organisation determined to dumb down the masses for its own financial gain.

But thats a whole other topic…

That book was mentioned in my first reply on this thread.

I live in the Bible Belt of Canada, so I see the hypocrisy of the people that use it as a rule book every day.

Some of the Old Testament gang are as extreme as the Muslim Fundamentalists that the media would have us believe are going to kill us all.

The OT squad is veritable smorgasbord of confusion and fanaticism, stronger the faith the bigger the sinner etc…

I blame the parents and also social and geographic pressure, Nature and nurture argument again but we must evolve to respond to present day situations without fear of some divine retribution hanging over our shoulders.

I wonder who deceided what the correct clothing for men and women should be, I like to think I have got a decent pair of moobs so should be able to wear a bra if I wanted too, particularly to stop the buggers bouncing about.

Sure evolution will grey out this necessity for a gender specific uniform, eventually.
