Apparently the above firm (well David Croome Ltd) has gone into administration, with another firm, Croome European Express, now up and running.
Does anyone have any info on them? PM me if you can.

there are two david croome ltd. one in craigovan northern ireland, and the other is in kent. neither have been dissolved yet.
croome european express was established in december 2009.
Blimey, if you cant make it pay using 15 year old trucks and Lithuaninas to drive them, what chance have the rest of us got?
I was parked next to a croome’s near Dijon last month an 05 plate volvo , think it was one of the Kent based wagons.
When I was doing m/e 30 years ago they has some smart tackle doing Europe.
All I’ve seen recently is old tackle with Polish plates on.
Yes indeed the UK side of DAVID Croome has apparantly gone ■■■■ up and whether or not the LT buro is still up and running I know not, maybe JJ72 could throw some light on this for us. As for the 05 plate parked at Dijon I reckon this is one of brother MICHEAL Croome, a thoroughly decent chap and not to be confused with ‘the other fellow’ despite having same livery.
Are we talking about the red wagon and drags if so i saw 2 today one going north on the M1 and 1 going south on the M1 i over took him both were newish wagons left hand drive with english plates on
They used to do a lot of Russia work when I was doing it but they were always considered to be “second-best”.
Saw 2 old Mk1 FH wagons without the drags being checked into Tilbury docks to go to export, they were old, and one was being towed.
Found these in Lenham Storage yard last December-ish i think it was, im guessing thats where their Kent depot is
2nd best to who Harry? I bet we had more ‘fun’ than you Kepstowe lads! Ooops.
Yep , says lenham on the side , and the one i seen had that , and come to think of it , it was actually an 09 plate as i remember thinking there is no way those swap bodies are 2009

That’s sort of funny… Michael was a bean counter when I was there… It was his idea to keep things tight, not Davids… I preferred Davids way of thinking really, even if his beliefs were sometimes dubious. I never could understand how an accountant could run transport.
And didn’t they regularly “go to China”■■
About as often as Ralphs boys used to…
If they are in administration then it is a shame. Been going nearly 40 years now.

There you go, you answered your own question
I only know what came second-hand from Mickey Thomas, ShortWalk, sounds like another ‘prepack’ administration but he’s at least had the decency to FO to Lithuania to restart I understand
Not that I expect most people to be at all interested, but I’ve explained numerous times that all the UK reg’d motors are nothing to do with David Croome and haven’t been for well over 10 years as for your assertion bobthedog, looks like a beancounter managed to run transport better than a transport man, michael still being in business that is
Oh, and Mr Monk - only Kepstowe’s prima-donnas thought that
As it is more than 10 years since I worked there (and my truck was Irish registered) I wouldn’t know how things have been in recent times. I do recall the Lit drivers were hard on the equipment and, in that respect, I agreed with Michael. But his ideas about fair payment and tax defying were contrary to much I did believe in.
I found David more approachable and reasonable than Micahel ever could have been. Had I stayed there and been put in a position of choosing which to work for, I would have preferred to take a chance on David than to have been made to worry about every single penny with Michael. If I were going to go there to work now, I would probably be moving to Lithuania. At least, with David, you knew to mind your Ps and Qs, but you would always be heard out. With Michael, you just heard about costings. If you got fined for being overlength at Rafz, then you saw David because you would not get in grief for it. Hell, he even used to give you the running money to pay the fine before you left.
It is just a point of view, and I made no assertions, just observations.
