Crew drivers

Try Sports Direct, Shirebrook, Notts

Can you tell me what agency it is working with them ?

I think that Sports Direct send an agency man with an employed man as there are alarm codes/shop keys involved.

Hi all, i have recently started at sports direct on the agency temp to perm
And yes they do take new passers class 1 and 2 artic or draw bar.
Nights only 4 on 2 off but some agency work every other night.
It’s a mix of double manning and single, you don’t know until you turn up where your going so either you could go scotland brighton or birmingham you just don’t know.
I always pack my bag for a day out because it is possible.
If there are alot if drivers in then the chances of double manning are high but they do send drivers out on routes single manned that should be double manned some stores are hard work to make the delivery and yes they normally send agency with experienced drivers because the stores loading area’s are sometimes hard to find and very tight spaces crappy loading bays you have keys and alarm codes then trek miles back and forth with anything upto maybe 20 odd cages in lifts over cobble stones up and down hills at risk of being robbed they are happy for you to work while tacho on brake.
And if you moan then you either out of there or share bonus cut so it’s put up and shut up basically they give you no home life and always 11 hours between shifts used to be 9.
However: in return for this the hours are always there pay has just been increased to £12 an hour with over time rates. There is a share bonus in place that rewards your loyalty and it’s a very good bonus trust me. No back loads no phone calls from the office if your tierd stop and have an hour when all stores are done and nothing is said.
Nice trucks mainly scania’s and they don’t hang about. The druvers are friendly and helpful so if your worried about double manning then don’t stress you’ll have a crack.
After working for a few companies in derbyshire and nottinghamshire i would say spirts direct is the best all rounder and no other company rewards their drivers like sports direct does. I am recommending this job to everybody.

Also just seen on the internet on indeed website that sports direct are looking for class 2 drivers full time £11 per hour so maybe have to be class 1 for £12

Wages like this are being offered not because the firms are tight but because that is what they can afford to pay.

Oh dear.
