Crete....and back!

Hi lads, can anyone give me a rough indication of the journey time from UK to Crete in a truck.? Im sure there are a few guys on here who have done it!! The job is furniture removals down then I would think groupage back.

I would imagine the route will be Dover-Calais, down to Anconna via Frejus then ferries to Pireaus or Patras then another onto Crete. :sunglasses:

Also, has anyone run to Cyprus? Would be interested in the same info for that route as well. Are there any particular problems associated with these routes?
Ferries not running everyday to these Islands would be one I can think of!

Cheers lads, any info would be appreciated.

Cheers, bullitt.

Two full shifts should get you to Ancona from Calais, then it`s 24 hours on the boat.

IIRC, it`s about 4 hours drive from Patras to Piraeus.

It`s around 36 hours on the Piraeus-Limassol ferry, longer if it stops elsewhere en route

Of course, you have to add your waiting time at the ports to this.

Incidentally, we planned a trip to Haifa in Israel about a year ago using this route, and I would have gone, but unfortunately, the client decided to send it unaccompanied at the last minute

Vince

Bullitt, you still got those horns?

Cheers for that Vince, shame you didnt get to Isreal.

Bullitt, you still got those horns?

Cheers, bullitt.
