actionfraud.police.uk/little … scam-May12
It is not a joke. I just found it strange that the police had time to run a courier business when the streets are full of murderers and terrorists
The family also called police and officers went to the house to collect the package and return it to the company.
I agree that does seem like a strange thing for the police to do
Now you know what PC really stands for … Parcel Courier
The police have a duty to protect life and property.
There has been a crime reported to them and thus they have a duty to
protect the property of the intended victim, in this case Littlewoods.
I doubt very much if the goods were couriered by them back to Littlewoods,
more likely recovered, placed in a property store and later collected by a real
courier.
EDIT or if the crooks are really good, by a more convincing fake one.
Sorry to ruin a good story by introducing some facts.
Regards,
Nick

Since when did we allow facts to interfere with a good story

Do you have a link to this legislation, I’d like to show it to my local plod to remind them what they get paid for
A long time ago I said this in front of a magistrate
“I do solemnly and sincerely declare and affirm that I will well and truly serve the Queen in the office of constable, with fairness, integrity, diligence and impartiality, upholding fundamental human rights and according equal respect to all people; and that I will, to the best of my power, cause the peace to be kept and preserved and prevent all offences against people and property; and that while I continue to hold the said office I will to the best of my skill and knowledge discharge all the duties thereof faithfully according to law.”
It took me over 22 years to realise it wasn’t for me and now and for the last 8 years I have been back driving.
Regards,
Nick

Ah, now I have read your second post I understand. I just thought you had temporarily lost your sense of humour. I just realised that you never had one to lose
