Creature comforts

When you guys are doing night shifts or are away for a few nights from home, what home comforts do you bring with you, to help you guys relax or keep spirits up etc.

Whisky.
.
.
Purely medicinal of course.
Had a bit of a cold for thirty years, but do I believe that treating it with whisky will work.

blow up bertha was always good company after a few beers…

I feel…

Uncomfortable unless I have my tablet with me.

If I was tramping, I’d definately want bullet proof internet connections.

In the old days, it was my small portable colour telly. It didn’t matter where you where, what you did with the aerial, which way the lorry was facing or how much you fiddled with the tuning, you never got a good picture.

A warm duvet and a telly

My laptop and an unlimited data plan to tether to… :sunglasses:

A small cushion for those long tips on bays, which I use as a pillow.

Er… that’s about it.

You’re supposed to be a rough tough hard as [zb] trucker so why would you be bothered about creature comforts :open_mouth:

:grimacing:

Laptop, unlimited internet (with a few box sets on hard drive in case of patchy signal) fridge (few Peroni inside to wash down my gourmet creation) , combination microwave, toaster, kettle, gas ring, an excellent cloudlike duvet and mattress topper from Lorry Living.
Come a long way from sleeping on a plank and I’m glad i never had to
