Scroll down the article for the video. How much porridge would you give her? And would you give her a licence back? :open_mouth:

Any chance of a translation into English?

it looked like an intimidating situation for her.
with any luck she’ll get a pat on the back for putting the gobby fat [zb] in his place.
i’ve met plenty of those sort of blokes before, huge belly, to go with a huge gob. then as soon as it goes pear shaped they phone the police.

I would give her a bravery award and lock the bloke up for attempted abduction,
she is doing nothing wrong but some self appointed police man decides he is going to block her exit, it was his actions which led to the occurence, she was merely exiting the public parking area, she should have reversed over him when he fell off

green456:
she is doing nothing wrong

apart from reversing into the wall and then doing one without leaving her details

oh and she`s half cut by the sound of it :unamused:

I agree, she drives into his shop front causing some damge, and then he had the gaul to want her to stop for a moment and give him her details to pay for the damage, ■■■■■■■ cheek of it eh :unamused:
Some accountability was all he wanted, not a ■■■■■■■■■ with his mates!

Reading that article it says she’s alledged to have hit the wall, suggesting that its not a proven fact as yet. Saying that it also says he was thrown off, fell off and launched himself off the bonnet.

Reminds me of this bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-17066798 :open_mouth:

She should sue for damage to the grill and bonnet, after all she would have run out of petrol trying to drive round him !!! and i swear that cyclist swerved in front of that bus !!!

Madguy :smiling_imp:

Allegedly, but no charges were brought, ■■■■■■■■■ had to come up with some excuse for his actions

Check the rear of the car on the vid and pics, see any damage?
Not even a cracked plastic bumper :exclamation: leaving scene of accident after she ran him down for blocking her exit

commonrail:

Its not illegal to drive whilst half cut, you have to be fully cut.
No charges brought on that count either :exclamation:

the blokes just been on our local news,he reckoned she was stoned. she`s in a whole load of trouble if you ask me

Somewhat mental. FYI she’s pleaded guilty to GBH without intent to avoid a potential life sentence, which sounds a bit excessive, so to answer the OP, “In England and Wales, a person guilty of an offence under section 20 is liable, on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years”. So, not knowing anything about such matters, I speculate she will be back on the streets next year, after serving a 12 month driving ban!

couple years ago while being parked in a public carpark a woman hit my car while reversing out the space next to me

i see this all happen walking back to my car but woman has quick look round, thinks cracker nobodys seen me so trys to drive off

so a let a shout out by this time she see’s me but still does one :astonished: so go in to security office says whats happened do you have cctv, guy says yip its all on cam so off to copshop and report it, while in copshop she fones in to say she hit a car but was so scared for her life she drove away,by this time im thinking dam her man must be a rite ■■■■ :open_mouth:

but it was me she feared :unamused: so explains to cop its on cctv i was other side of carpark but cop agrees with her :open_mouth: and they wouldnt or couldnt be bothered charging her with leaving scene of an accident!! cop then takes me to side an says look m8 its woman she’ll cry in court and thats the end of it so best trying bit of t-cut :unamused:

I can’t see life being the remotest possibility in this case, even if she was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, contrary to section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861. Life is a possible sentence for s.18 OAPA 1861 GBH with intent, but would be exceptional. Typically life would only be imposed on a dangerous offender, for example someone who would have been guilty of murder were it not for the victim somehow surviving appalling injuries.

If you compare the relevant sections in the assault sentencing guidelines for the Crown Court, it can be seen that a conviction for s.18 GBH with intent is near certain to lead to custody, whereas a non-custodial sentence is possible for s.20 GBH. Not knowing the full facts, I can’t make that good a guess about the ultimate sentence. However, assuming no previous convictions, noting the relatively modest physical harm caused, the possibility of a helpful psychological report in mitigation, the (admittedly unintentional) provocation and credit for a guilty plea avoiding the need for trial, it’s likely to fall somewhere between the high end of community orders and a suspended sentence. Being convicted of s.20 GBH rather than s.18 GBH with intent has likely saved her from going down.
