Yes, this. Although there are no signs prohibiting parking, this lay-by is in a poorly-publicised area in which London overnight parking is prohibited and the local council employ commission-based African immigrant labour to issue parking tickets at three o’clock in the morning. Dozens of drivers have been caught out by this.

The whole area is a shid hole. The only parking is the layby as you come of the M25. Unless they have recently changed, the queue to get in can regularly stretch back to the roundabout, how they get away with blocking that road like that is beyond me.

Bit too later with this - but for future ref. On the roundabout with the A20 & A223 there’s a layby actually on the roundabout or head out on the A20 toward Dart there’s a small Services, there’s room for a couple of vehicles behind mac’d… both locations are usually taken by 8pm.
