Crash/Eaton Twin Splitter....... OMG

Wheel Nut:
Twin splitters and Fullers for the professional driver and the synchros and autos for t’others eh?

Couldn’t have put it better myself!

These people that say the Twin Splitter is a slow change must be either doing it wrong or driving a wagon with a duff gearbox.

I would say you could get through the whole gearbox in less than 30 seconds. (For a twin splitter thats a change every 2.5 seconds)

agreed!

Hey the lucky winner of the USA competion will get to see first hand how to handle a constent mesh gearbox  BLOOD, SWEAT & GEARS!!!

the day i have to be taught how to use a gearbox is the day i stop driving trucks ( no offence meant tiggz)!!!.

Shame on you Jammy :open_mouth: . The number of times we tell Newbies “If you don’t know, ask”. Here you are saying that you are scared to ask :open_mouth:  .

Its not a case of ME or anyone else being scared to ask its a case of why would a company make a stupid gearbox that you have to be taught to use?. Ok you all say its the best ever i have never driven one nor would i want to BUT why on earth would someone design a gearbox that sounds so complex you have to be shown how to drive it■■?. As if the job isnt hard enough to start with youalso have to fight with a gearbox until you can use it!!!.

As for being a professional and using this gearbox thats ok by me ill stick to being a 10 year newbie with the auto box i have to use, i wonder who would be more stressed at the end of the day though?.

30 seconds to go up the box?, i dont count i just press a pedal and let the computer do the work, set the cruise control to 6mph overspeed and let the computer slow me down on hills suits me just fine :).

When they invent the truck that can steer itself i,ll be the first to want one…

I taught myself. Within an hour or so I’d figured it out.

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

I learnt the Volvo I-Shift in about a second , move the lever to A and press pedal A to go and B to stop, I have driven many many trucks and never had to take an hour to “teach myself” the box.

Apart from the stupid Merc EPS which took me about a month, 2 week of that in neutral!!!.
