I remember reading somewhere, that if you work in macdonalds in central London and are having a break, then if you look out of the window at a parking meter, its probably earning more per hour than you are, which probably is par for class 1 on here also,
zaax:
Lidl pay more for stacking shelves“Earn between £8.25 - £9.50 per hour (outside the M25) and between £9.40 - £10.45 (inside the M25)”
You won’t earn £500pw/a decent living stacking shelves in Lidl. Otherwise people would be doing it in their droves. The hours aren’t there, certainly not in any sort of guaranteed form.

So driving an artic for £8.20/hour for 60+ hours a week is s decent then? A mate was offered a class 2 job for £8.20/hour last week and turned it down, said he’d leave it for the Polish as he couldn’t afford to do it.

Was tipping at Aldi other week. Got chatting to the lad in warehouse checking my stuff off. He was telling me that he’s on £10p/h, which is all good and well for that job, but then then told me he was on a 25 hour contract, and the day before they were quiet, so was sent home after 3hrs. He also told me that they make sure he doesn’t do over 25hrs per week.
