Hi catmeat,

The law on this is that the periodic DCPC is a driver’s own responsibility, therefore how a driver achieves their 35hrs is entirely up to themselves.

Some companies are sending drivers on courses and then stopping a bit out of their pay each week/month, whilst other companies appear to be happy to pay for the drivers’ training and not charge the driver for it. I have to say that this does vary from company to company.

Ultimately, the law is very clear that the DCPC is the driver’s responsibility though.
