Guys,
I’ve done 2 days of CPC training and have another day booked this week. Is it possible to check on-line that my previous training has been recorded properly against my driver number by the training provider ?
Is it still the case that I only need to do one lot of 5 days CPC training to cover both my C and D entitlement ?
Thanks
I thought you only needed to do one day per year?
For existing license holders, 5 days training needs to be completed by Sept 2013 (PCV) or Sept 2014 (LGV). Does not matter what year it’s done in, it could be 1 day per year or all 5 days in one year or even in one week.
My question is about whether I can see the records of my training days on-line ?
And just to confirm that I don’t need to do 5 days for PCV and another 5 days for LGV.
Thanks

Hi gerontius,
You can download and save a .pdf document from the JAUPT website just here:
http://www.drivercpc.org/en/ptg/
When you see the webpage, please click on the link “Guide to Periodic Training July 10”
To answer your first question, page #14 has this:
6.2
DSA are developing a system to enable drivers to access the
Driver CPC R&E database. In the meantime, it is recommended that training centres
remind drivers they will be able to find out how much Driver CPC periodic training they
have undertaken by contacting CPCRE@dsa.gsi.gov.uk
6.3
Employers will be able to obtain information about a driver’s uploaded training with
the permission of the driver.
Near the bottom of page #5 of that document, you’ll see this nice little nugget:
2.5
Drivers with both PCV and LGV licences will have to complete only one course of 35 hours
of periodic training every five years; they will not have to undertake 35 hours of training for
each licence category.
I hope that helps.

Hi mate,
That’s certainly an option, but there are a number of other possibilities that you can customise to suit yourself.
I know that some folks have taken the option to get the whole thing out of the way in one fell swoop so that they’re good until 2019.
Hello gerontius
There is a National Driver CPC hotline you can call on 0191 201 8112. They may be able to tell you about your recorded training hours. If not they will certainly advise you of how to find out.
Hope this helps

Hi John,
Thanks for that.
BTW, have you seen this from JAUPT?
DSA are developing a system to enable drivers to access the Driver CPC R&E database.
That should be good once they’ve got it up and running, but the DSA wheels turn exceedingly slowly.
