Hi all
Been looking at the gov/dsa site and done a search
on here.
Can anyone tell me what happens if your 5 cpc modules
are not uploaded by the 9th, as l have done all 5 but
still only showing 2.
They say theirs a back log on uploads ?
Cheers
Stu
Have you got your 5 certificates? if so you can carry these around with you, when driving commercially as proof that you have satisfied the 35hrs requirement, personally i wouldn’t be worrying about getting stopped by vosa just in order to check if you have a valid dcpc or not,
Of course the DCPC trainers will be spreading stories about how vosa(dsva) have recruited extra staff just to stop drivers of lorries to check for a DCPC ect ect, or other scare stories, because they want toi sell you DCPC courses they are after all salesman looking after their own interests
So come the 10th Sept 14 this blitz by DVSA on lorry drivers to check for DCPC isn’t likely to happen,
But no doubt from the deadline it will become part of their routine checks that they do when they want to do a routine multi agency check ect
Frankly, it’s beyond taking the ■■■■ that at the same time paper tax discs are being dispensed with forever most truck drivers are now legally required to carry a third card around with them. FFS.
No not got mt certificates yet but the trainer say’s he
will send them to me.
I’m not the onlyone as their is quite a few that are short.
NOTE to all doing periodic DCPC …
GET YOUR CERTIFICATES AT THE END OF YOUR COURSE
There are very few reasons that they cannot be ready at the end of the training day(s)

This ^^^ is what I did back in November 2009 when I did my first two modules. Get the certificates!
I understand that I will need to complete the other three within five years of the first one being taken, or I have to start again. Best get them booked then!
Perhpas Rog could give us the low down on the ins and outs of the dCPC regarding time limits, etc.
Uploads must be done within 5 working days after the 7 hours is completed
After you have done the five and they are showing on the gov web site…how long should it take efore tha card arrives. Can you drive onece they show on the gov web site but the card hasn’t arrived?
I started my first CPC in 2012 did my last one last week. I’ve never been given any certificates.
Haven’t had my card through yet either, the website is showing all 5 are done, so just sit and wait.
The trainer screwed loads of our people over, they did the modules but they weren’t all registered, so they had to re do them.

You can drive without DQC for up to 15 days whilst waiting for it to arrive
That’s good to know ROG as I’ve just one more to do on Saturday so hopefully this 15 days will be enough time.
I completed my DCPC about 2.5 weeks ago. On a saturday.
Upload was on monday. Blue card arrived Wednesday. I thought that a couple of days was pretty impressive considering they must be bloody busy

THIS
It’s uploading to a website - there should be no delay at all.
I’d suggest you contact the company who did your modules and ask wtf they are playing at.
Thanks ROG usefull to know l can drive for 15days.
Gives me abit more time.

Sorry, I may not have made my point clear.
I was referring to the fact I completed two dCPC modules in November 2009 (both showing on the gov. site.) I need three more of course.
Do the ones I completed in 2009 count indefinitely? Or do I need to complete the other three within five years of taking the first two? (i.e. before November 2014)
Over to you Rog!

After Nov 2014 the first 14 hours will be invalid
Complete the other 21 hours before the first 7 hours becomes invalid and you will get your DQC

Thanks Rog, as I suspected. Time to get my lazy arse off to some lovely dCPC courses.

So come the 10th Sept 14 this blitz by DVSA on lorry drivers to check for DCPC isn’t likely to happen,
It did when the deadline for coaches came in a couple of years ago.
As for any claims of an upload backlog I finished my last module yesterday at 5pm. Its already showing on the DSA website.
You may find this useful

No it did not, generally enforcement was just added to existing enforcement activities.
There is an officially recognised problem with drivers who’ve completed training who are not yet in possession of their card. There is no issue whatsoever with them continuing to drive in the meantime. Carrying any certificates or supporting documentation is obviously sensible.
No-one should consider stopping driving just because they do not have DCPC but if they should have it they should book the courses asap. Assuming an employer is prepared to let you continue If you do get stopped you will face a fixed penalty charge for not having it but if you are part way through training or have training booked it would be worth mentioning at the time as it could encourage leniency.
Conor, almost everything you post is nonsense and in cases regarding DCPC you are posting nonsense seemingly designed to spread panic unnecessarily for your own amusement and should pack it in.
(Having just checked, GasGas’s link there appears to now be official word confirming what I have been saying for a while, the fixed penalty will be £50 and it seems they do expect you to carry the paperwork if the card has not arrived and you will get an official warning)
