CPC training

Passed my Cat C/ Class 2 LGV in 2001 with the Army.Left Army 2008.Have not used my license in civvy street .Lack of interest from Agencies and Companies due to no experience ( in their eyes ) in civvy street and with tachograph.I am in full time employment driving a van. What is the situation with CPC ? I assume if I don`t do any of it ,or all of it ,by a certain dated I will lose my license? Is it still 35 hours ,split up into modules with on test?

As you passed before Sept 2009 you have “Acquired Rights” (also known as grandfather rights) until Sept 2014. So long as you complete 5x7 hours approved CPC training before then you have no problems. Each 7 hours course cannot have an exam attached. They are attendance only.

You could spread the 5 blocks of training out over the remaining 21 months or do them all in a single week. Its your choice.

You do not lose the licence if you do not complete the dcpc but you will lose the right to use that licence commercially
