Cpc Training today

Got a training day today, ADR Awareness.

It’s funded by the company but we’re not being paid for the day-Thanks Government for forcing me to spend a Saturday, learning about stuff I already know most about (ie, if it catches fire-RUN)
Thinking about it, what Government department do I send the invoice to, to claim my days wages ?

I was just wondering what games to take Kerplunk or Monopoly ?

Shirly, that benefit should be taxable.

You may know or like some others you may think you know but there are definitely an awful lot who think they know but do not.

Why not let off steam at your (more than likely pro-EU) MP at this site; it’ll take only seconds to tell them what how brilliant their bright ideas as dictated to the UK from Brussels are [not] and which in my experience works well

Cheers :sunglasses:

Just got home, bored out of my head,[emoji42]. Morning was all about insurance & the cost to the company. Afternoon we learnt about ADR limited Quantities, we can carry ‘limited quantities’ up to 44 tons, but only if they’re in small packages & they adhere to a certain transport categories, but they’ve gotta be segregated so you don’t have food next to poison (unless you’ve got a bit of cardboard between)

I’m going for a long drink now. [emoji482]

Might just do that Keith, but not today, I’ve had enough for one day. Lol.

Why are you blaming the government? They didn’t make you attend on a Saturday. If you had a decent employer you’d have been on a weekday course paid for by the company and you’d be paid to attend. Surely your argument is with your employer.

This is what I don’t get, if you were an FLT driver, for which there is no law making training compulsory, you employer would send you on a course mid-week etc. why don’t they want to invest the same time and money in their most important employees - the Drivers.

You should have put down the Kerplunk and listened more, you’ve got two totally different things muddled up there!

Because the poxy government/EU made us do it, our company decided to fund the courses (this one was sponsored by our insurance company) they don’t offer any other days, Saturday’s is all they offer & they won’t pay our wages to attend CPC courses.

Load of old Bollox, I know, but someone’s got to pay for it !

I don’t really care, we very rarely carry hazardous materials, so it’s a bit irrelevant really.

Wetherspoons is much more entertaining at the moment.[emoji12]
