I do not believe that any sessions of pure theory is ever going to improve the present problem with so many inept drivers and those with bad attitudes…so.
An alternative?..Firstly address the problem at grass roots level ie…why are so many totally incompetent guys obtaining licences, make the course and test harder, so that those who are totally useless simply fail, instead of handing out licences to all and sundry…just look around you on the M.way this morning for the results of the present training system.
Then periodically…every 3 years assess each driver on his own individual abilities and merits, an refresh the training on each individual requirements.

I believe that this was considered but when advised about the percentage which would fail a practical or any form of exam (supposedly something like 60-70%) the authorities had kittens about the consequences…
…far worse than all this ■■■■■■■■ we are hearing about a certain other current issue.

So the authorities then decided on a charade of a course with no purpose, merit, or authenticity.
Then presumably it was justified by the amount of cash generated by the industry that was created by it…so everythings fine in their book eh?
Meanwhile the industry is still awash with complete f/whits with Class 1 licences, who should not be let loose on a Transit van.
In actual fact I’ve came across 3 already this morning with only 1 hr and 15 mins on my card.
