cpc question

Hi there, I have passed my theory, hazard perception, module 2 case study and my practical driving assessment, now I was looking online on the .gov.UK site and found some exceptions, the one that got me wondering was, you don’t need driver cpc if the vehicle you drive is driven within 50km of your base, is not carrying passengers or goods, and driving a lorry, bus or coach is not your main job.

Now I drive a loading shovel in a waste transfer station as my main job but sometimes empty refuse trucks or hook lifts need taking to other depots, only 15 miles from my base. Can I legally do this??, I am waiting to get booked in for my module 4 and keen to do dome driving lol

Tia for any advice

Vehicles driven within 50 km of the driver’s base and not carrying passengers or goods

You don’t need to have Driver CPC if you’re not a professional driver but your work includes an incidental element of driving empty lorries, buses and coaches in the local area. You will need to satisfy the following conditions if:
•you are driving within 50 km of your base
•you’re not carrying passengers or goods

That means the driving is a small add on part of your main non driving job

So that’s a yes then, I thought I had read it wrong
