I passed my lgv c back in 2004 but not had any driving work but last week I’ve been offered some part time to gain experience. I’ve Been ask to get my cpc 35hrs as I’ve missed the deadline I can’t really find any where local who can fit me in a soon as

The EU driver regs changed in 2007 and the drivers WTD was also introduced so I deffo suggest a course on those with a trainer who will check that you have assimilated the info correctly - the dcpc does not have testing so you could go away from a course without really knowing if you have it correct or not

…which IMO is a pity. We make sure folks have got the info by an informal series of exercises/quizzes. Not a pass/fail but makes sure the subject is understood.
It’s quite straightforward for a newbie to grasp the rules (maybe not all the obscure ones) during a day’s course. It’s a nightmare correcting misinformation from some of the established drivers.
