hi, i know this has been asked loads of times before, i have been using the search function but i thought you seem a great bunch
so im hoping you would give me some info lol, i passed mt class 2 on 17/01 and my cpc module 2 06/02.
i have my cpc module 4 booked for tomorrow 12/02,
i have been revising from the flair training pdf file and reading the dsa driving goods vehicles book.
but what sort of advise could you give me? is there anything i should know?

I took my CPC module 4 in December 2013. The best advice I can give you is this. The test is a DEMONSTRATIVE test, you need to SHOW them as well as tell them what you would do. Assume the examiner is an idiot and you need to explain and show every single little detail. The examiner will not get annoyed with you describing and showing them too much. For instance, when checking to make sure there is nothing on the roof (when checking for contraband) walk far away from the truck and check every corner, telling the examiner what you are doing at all times. The chances are they will say ‘ok you dont need to check any more’ after the first 2 corners. All the time when the examiner is not talking you should be talking! One last time if you tell the examiner you would do check the windscreen for cracks and damage, SHOW them how to check the windscreen for damage! Check EVERYTHING on the Daily check sheet too! This is the kind of pep talk my instructor gave me just before my module 4 and I passed first time with 100%.

Haven’t really got any advice for the test, that hasn’t already been said. But i’m doing my second attempt tomorrow. So best of luck with it, hope you pass!!

thank you very much for doing that because i was at wits end trying to find some solid revision before i found
what you had, people told me to read the dsa book drivers of goods vehicles, on my honest opinion you wount pass the
cpc by reading that alone.

passed! with 100% was a little easier than i expected but im so glad its over, now its time to try n get some work!

Nicely done Scott. You put the effort in and got the result. As with every step needed to complete this journey it’s not difficult to pass but very easy to fail.

I passed the mod 4 today with 100%. The downloadable questions are the bees knees and add that to plenty of head down and wife asking, piece of cake! Thank you for the help!

yesterday i had my first days work on agencey :slight_smile: bearing in mind it was only a 7.5t but seeing that i am only 23 and i could only
drive a 3.5t before i passed my class 2, bu its on wards and upwards, its a start thats all i can say, i absolutely nackerd due to only haveing 4 hours ish sleep, i was paranoid to hell but when i got in the truck was a piece of cake. but think i still want some more agencey work before i even think about leaving my full time job yet
