Hi all, I’m looking for a good training school in the Preston area to get my module 4. Any recommendations would be appreciated. showing round for quotes at the moment. I have already been onto red rose and lancaster training and wondered if there were any schools that don’t have websites people know and trust? Anyone have an opinion of TRUK or north lancs?
Cheers,
James
One idea I havnt thought of before. Why not hire a 7.5t small truck as you have the licence and go for it yourself without a school. Plenty of advice on here about the questions.
DIY training…who knows

One small flaw John. Anyone with a 7.5 licence doesn’t need Mod 2 and 4.
Apart from that - great idea!!

The original poster already has his category C, so he could hire a 7.5t vehicle and try a DIY approach. I’m not sure which minimum test vehicle requirements DSA would apply for LGV Module 4 - presumably those for C1, as those passing a C1 test may need to take Module 4.
Of course, most people with a 7.5t licence have C1 from a pre-1997 car test - and therefore have LGV initial DCPC via ‘acquired rights’.
