CPC Module 4, ten questions?

Had my 3 hour Module 4 lesson yesterday, and the instructor kept mentioning that the test had ten questions in it, and that we had to get 8 out of 10 to pass.

Is this a new thing? I’ve always known it to be 5 questions, one for each topic. I kept forgetting to ask him, and only remembered on the drive home :S

Can anyone shed any light on this? Was my instructor just trying to make us focus more and get us overly prepared? Or is it actually 10 questions now?

Also, the demonstration video he showed us first also stated there was only 5 questions.

Cheers guys.

The vehicle safety demonstration will last about half an hour and consists of five topics covered in the driver CPC syllabus. In order to pass you must score 15 out of 20 points in each topic area (75%) with an overall score of 80%.

You will need to show your knowledge and ability in the following areas:
•ability to load the vehicle, paying attention to safety rules and using the vehicle properly
•security of the vehicle and its contents
•ability to prevent criminality and trafficking in illegal immigrants – for example, what you should do if you have returned to the vehicle after taking a comfort break on a ferry or at a border crossing
•ability to assess emergency situations
•ability to prevent physical risk
•ability to complete a physical, walk round vehicle safety check

Each of the main categories have a number of questions but just one chosen from each i think.

Google LGV Mod 4 pdf. Not sure if they are all official questions but good for revision.

That’s what I thought the test was. Just wondering if anyone knew about the ten question thing :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe he was just mistaken. I’m sure someone with more knowledge than me will give you correct info sooner or later.

I was under the impression (from somewhere  ) that one question will always be the walkaround check. And it always comes last
