Yes, you need a DVSA examiner to carry out your test, so yes It would be at a DVSA test centre.

I thought that was the case ,Tests are hard to come by at the moment according to my training provider. Maybe I could have a ring around, see what I can get!

Worth noting that there is an increasing number of test centres hosted by training providers which widens the scope a bit.
